Hello?
Does anyone still read this? Since it’s been such a long, long, long time, I’ll be surprised if anyone sees this post. But if you do stumble by, hello.
It’s been 3 years since I started writing about how motherhood was impacting my writing and almost 3 years since my last post (yikes!). Which means motherhood prevailed. That doesn’t mean I stopped writing, but it has tapered off significantly and I continue to struggle to find time to write.
The darling baby who sparked the motherhood posts is now 3. He’s sweet and grouchy in turns, always keeping us on our toes. He is also a proud and loving big brother to his 6 month old sister. Which means I have even less time for any writing. But I’m not complaining.
That said, writing has been done, but not much, so I will be leaving The Lily Cafe behind for the foreseeable future. Maybe when my babies are older and (sob) don’t need me quite as much, I’ll come back with new stories. For now I am getting an astounding amount of reading done, mostly self-published books (kind of obsessed right now), so I have started a book review blog at Pages Flying Free. I strive to post every Thursday, but life happens, so we’ll see how it goes. Hope to see you there.
If you read this, thank you. If you are choosing to check out Pages Flying Free, I’ll see you soon. If not, thank you for reading The Lily Cafe and hopefully I will see you in a few years.
I’ve always enjoyed your blog so I will miss it, ( How often I have to say that these days ) but I totally understand the needs of young children and the satisfaction of motherhood. Look forward to seeing you if you return 🙂
