WWW Wednesday is a bookish meme run by Sam@Taking on a World of Words. I normally strictly adhere to the rules, but I’ve decided to combine it with something I’ve been thinking of doing lately. I hope you enjoy!
It asks:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
What are you currently reading/First Impressions
Find by Steve Dunn Hanson. This is an indie book I decided to accept because I thought it would feed into my longtime interest in archaeology. It most certainly does, but the story also revolves around a televangelist with a huge ego, a potentially crazy Mayan shaman, and shadowy figures with a lot of money who will dispose of people they no longer deem necessary. First impression: a fun read, but I’m wishing for more archaeological-oriented bits, the televangelist is really off putting, and the romance is kind of meh.
The Jasmine Throne by Tasha Suri. Why is it so hard to convince my kids to let me have a few minutes during the day to let me enjoy my physical copy of this? Seriously, though, I’ve finally passed the halfway point and things are really starting to come together and move. I can’t wait to see what happens next. First, er, several impressions: a slow-moving read, but with tons of threads and characters who are more than they initially seem.
What did you recently finish reading/Last Impressions
For the Wolf by Hannah Whitten. Last impression is that it’s an interesting blend of fairy tales, but I went in expecting a “Little Red Riding Hood” story, so it was a bit of a let down. However, when I step away from it, I can appreciate the mix of “Little Red Riding Hood”, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and “The Snow Queen”.
What do you think you’ll read next/Predictions
Eastover Treasures by Dawn Brotherton. This looks like a cozy mystery about a group of quilters. I know nothing about quilting, but have always been interested in it, and there’s a treasure hunt! Prediction: this will be a fun cozy mystery and maybe I’ll learn something about quilting.
What about you?

Ahh, it’s always so sad when the romance is sub-par. Maybe it will get better?! I hope you have a wonderful week! ❤

I always cringe when a book is so promising but the romance just brings it down, so I’m hoping it gets better! Thanks and same to you!

I hope you enjoy it! The romance is probably the weakest part of it, but it’s really quite a read.
