A huge thanks to Hermione of Portable Magic for the nomination! She’s probably one of the youngest bloggers I follow, and I love all the enthusiasm she injects into all of her posts. They’re always fun to read and always make me smile.

If the world had to be of only ONE colour (and its tints and shades) what colour would you choose?
Noooo! I love my colors so much! I don’t know, maybe blue? It’s such a calming color. Though maybe not so much if it’s the only color I can see? Though it does have some lovely shades…
Tell us of a character you hated much more than the antagonist itself.
Oh, I hate to say it considering so many people loved it, but… Addie LaRue. I couldn’t stand her. She just felt too self-serving to me. I actually was more intrigued by Luc, even though he sometimes felt like something of a sad excuse for a demon. Still, he’s a demon, and I do like a demon in my fantasy.
If you had to be a virus for a day and destroy the whole world, which virus would you be? You can also invent one if you like. Or steal one.
Haha, really?! COVID on steroids. This is a huge topic at home. On our worst days, my husband and I always say we just need a really bad variant to either wipe us all out or finally prod us into actions to protect ourselves and each other.
If you had to be in a movie what character would you like to be (hero, villain, sidekick…)?
Ooh, sidekick! Well, maybe not. Sidekicks die a lot. I’d definitely actually end up being one of the first victims in the movie. The hero feels too daunting of a role and I don’t think I’d make a very good villain unless taming all the magical creatures so they love me is evil? I’d probably have to go with being the one with all the pertinent information. Or, maybe not. Drat! They have a tendency to die, too. Okay, I’ve got it. The one who doesn’t die.
When do you usually get your best ideas?
Dreams. Seriously. I don’t know why, but I’ve always had extremely vivid, detailed dreams and most of them stick with me whether or not I want them to. They’re just there, hanging out, so I spend a lot of time ruminating on them.
Name your favourite quote(s) from your favourite book by your favourite character?
I don’t think I have a favorite character. There are too many and I’m too indecisive to choose. But my favorite author is Jane Austen and my favorite book is Persuasion, so my favorite quote must be, “I am half agony, half hope.” Seriously, that whole letter!
What is the weirdest question you asked yourself?
Hmm, I don’t know. I’ve asked myself many strange things over the years. Though the stupidest has probably been “what’s this weird stuff in my hair?” I’m a mom with a 4 year old who has a love affair with my hair and not even remotely the cleanest hands.
What is your worst personality trait?
Haha, depends on who you ask! I quite like my personality traits, but a lot of people don’t like that I can’t sit still and relax. I have to constantly be doing something or making contingency plans on top of contingency plans.
Are you a sunlight person or a moonlight person? (you can be both):P
Definitely a sunlight person! I love sunlight. It refreshes me so much and not getting enough of it makes me feel sick.
What is the wisest thing you’ve done in your entire life?
Taking the burden of adulthood onto my shoulders the day I turned 18. My dad told me, on my birthday, that I was an adult in the eyes of the law so I was solely responsible for the consequences of my actions. I could have decided to not care and gotten myself into a lot of trouble, but I took it seriously and have always endeavored to make the right decisions and shoulder the consequences as I’m supposed to.
Would you rather have the main character die in the end victorious or still be alive, defeated? (and never be able to win ever again)
Oh, that’s an interesting one! I’ll have to pick the character dying victorious. I mean, that’s usually the main character’s job, to prevail, right? It also seems to me, with everything they have to go through and endure, they’d die anyways. At least, in fantasy.
So now I’m supposed to nominate 11 people, but I honestly don’t have enough time these days with one kid doing online schooling via an independent study program our district has (he easily has twice as much independent work now than he did doing online learning with his First Grade teachers at the school he’s technically enrolled in, but is currently on leave from) and the other doing homeschool preschool. I hate to do this because I love how awards and tags are supposed to highlight the community, but I’m so short on time.
If you’re reading this, YOU are nominated!
Here are my 11 questions:
- What was your favorite childhood activity?
- Would you rather be the protagonist or the antagonist and why?
- What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
- If you could go back in time, would you change anything?
- What’s one place you’ve been to that you would love to visit again?
- What’s the funniest thing that’s ever happened to you?
- How do you like the WordPress Block Editor?
- What is your dream profession?
- If you could only read one book genre forever, what would it be?
- What’s your favorite thing to do for fun?
- Are you afraid of the number 13?
Thank you again, Hermione!

I have to pick up Persuasion one day since we already have the book at home and the quote from the book is actually a great quote! I am like you, i usually get my best ideas in my dreams or just simply anytime at night because for some reason, my brain is usually more productive at night😊.
Your answers were really fun to read btw!!🤗

It’s such a beautiful story! I hope you enjoy it when you read it. It really is all about that letter at the end, definitely every fan of the book’s favorite! Dreams and night time are definitely two of the best ways to get new ideas. There’s just something about the darkness and stillness that really seem to get the juices flowing. Thanks for the nomination!

Lol, I keep pen and paper beside my bed exactly because of this. My dreams really give me ideas or experiences I’d never think about in daily life, so I can totally relate with you on the dreaming part.
