The Curated Bookshelf: July’s Theme

the curated bookshelf july sun drenched books

Welcome to this month’s Curated Bookshelf! Since we’re well into summer (though California got there back in April/May depending on the week), I decided to highlight Sun Drenched Books this month.

Born and raised in Southern California, summer days defined my childhood. We skipped from winter and rain into warm temperatures, fires, and sunshine. The sun played a big role in my life, so, since it’s the middle of the summer months (summer vacation for my kids), I wanted to spend this month safely lying in the sun…with books!

This month, I’ve chosen 10 books (because this wasn’t planned at the beginning of the year when I plan out my blogging breaks, so I’m actually only present here for a little over half the month) that feature sunny settings. This might be the beach or even the desert or just books that make me think of sunshine.

Throughout this month, I’ll be giving each book its own Highlight post. I’ll discuss why I chose that particular book as well as put a spotlight on it, other reviews, and multiple purchase links. As I mentioned when I first introduced The Curated Bookshelf, I won’t earn a cent if you choose to use one of the links to purchase a book (I am not affiliated with any purchase sites), but the author/publisher will. Choose wisely?

I’m excited to share the 10 books I’ve chosen, and they’ll remain on the shelf until July 31st. On August 1st, there will be a new set of books and a new theme.

Feel free to check out all the books I’ll be highlighting on The Curated Bookshelf from the menu or via this link.

Thank you, and I hope you enjoy July’s books!
