Title: The Adventure
Author: Jennifer M. Zeiger
Publisher: Self-published
Publication Date: November 30, 2017
Genre: Fantasy
The Adventure includes three different multi-ending Adventure stories, giving the reader 26 possible endings to find. Moonrise Mountain: Legend tells of the wild horses that live atop Moonrise Mountain. Now you’re out to discover if legend is true, but first, you have to reach the top of the mountain, and each choice you make will bring unforeseen dangers. Temple of Night and Wind: Many have entered the Howling Maw in search of its treasures. None have returned. But now your village is starving and the Maw’s treasures are your last resort. So down into the Maw you venture… The Tournament: To free your uncle from life in the King’s mines, you enter the Tournament. However, this is no typical contest, and its lack of rules makes success all the more difficult, and defeat all the more deadly. Pick wisely, Dear Reader, for success or failure depends on your choices.
Why This Book
Oh, I’ve loved Jennifer’s adventure stories since…2013? While I took an unplanned, rather long hiatus from blogging, I always wondered if Jennifer ever published. Just before I returned to blogging, I learned she had! And it was something I could enjoy with my kids! I was so excited to get The Adventure, but even more thankful for it getting my son to enjoy a book. Today, he’s a great reader, but has always hated reading (still does). When it came to this book, though, he always asked for more. While I know it really had a lot to do with the fact that he actually got to make choices, I also know he wanted to read more endings, and his enjoyment carried over to Jennifer’s second choose your own adventure book, Discarded Dragons. I’ve never heard him so excited for a book.
Reviews
My review: “With different possible storylines in each story, there was always something new to discover. Temple of Night and Wind definitely had the most surprises while Moonrise Mountain took some surprising turns and The Tournament just plain delighted me.”

Of course! Considering it’s been almost 2 months since your lovely comment, I’ve clearly been a bit out of touch lately, too. I haven’t had a chance to get Mystery of the Golden Shells yet, but it’s on my to do list for this week. My son still asks for Discarded Dragons, so I think he’ll enjoy your next one!
