31 Foods That I Love

If I make it to 31 with this one, I will be astounded.

  1. Chocolate. Duh.
  2. Chocolate chip cookies
  3. Brownies
  4. Blackberries
  5. Cherries
  6. Carrots, raw
  7. Ritz crackers
  8. Peanut butter
  9. Bananas, but not banana bread. Go figure.
  10. Spaghetti with sausage sauce
  11. My mom’s meatloaf
  12. Fried Chinese noodles (literally just chow mein noodles fried on both sides. The crunchy parts are the best!)
  13. Lop Chong (Chinese sausage – so fatty and bad for you, but so yummy)
  14. Barbecue pork buns, steamed
  15. Butterfly. Not the insects, but a delicious Chinese sweet. This is basically strips of fried dough drenched in honey. And I mean drenched.
  16. Puffs. Not the baby kind. Again, a Chinese dessert made only at Queens Bakery in Chinatown in L.A.
  17. Pink Lady apples
  18. Rice pilaf
  19. My mom’s mashed potatoes. Potatoes and salt only.
  20. Chocolate chip ice cream
  21. Peaches
  22. Nectarines
  23. Brioche
  24. Bread. Really, any kind except sourdough and rye.
  25. Brunkager. These are holiday Danish cookies I became obsessed with while I was studying abroad in Copenhagen.
  26. Corn
  27. Mac and cheese, especially when it uses a bechamel sauce.
  28. Provolone
  29. Toast with butter
  30. Red grapes
  31. Chocolate cake

Wow. I did it. 31 foods that I love. I regret that there aren’t really any vegetables on this list, but that’s a whole other post.

Barbeque pork buns sound delicious I must say, and raw carrots always have a quality of moral rightness to them which helps you feel good about yourself. My list would definitely include sausages, but probably the good old English ones I was raised on 🙂
