Books That Remind Me of Other Books: The Kingdoms by Natasha Pulley

As a lifelong book lover, I’ve read so many books that many of the books I read now remind me of books I’ve read before. Today I’ll be talking about all the books The Kingdoms by Natasha Pulley reminds me of.

From Amazon:

Book Review: Mr. Nobody by Catherine SteadmanMr. Nobody by Catherine Steadman. The Kingdoms is about a man with no memory of who he was before he stepped off a train in French controlled London. Similarly, Mr. Nobody involves a man with no memory, so my mind quickly jumped to it.

We Could Be Heroes by Mike ChenWe Could Be Heroes by Mike Chen. Mostly, I think of We Could Be Heroes has a superhero book. But it also involves characters who wake up with no memory of who they are and, really, know just about nothing about themselves. Again, it’s the amnesia thing.

Book Review: Here and Now and Then by Mike ChenHere and Now and Then by Mike Chen. Not a book about amnesia, but definitely one about time travel. Here and Now and Then is about a man whose career takes him back and forth in time, until he gets stuck in the past and his memories of his real life start to disappear.

The Eight by Katherine NevilleThe Eight by Katherine Neville. This was kind of a surprise to me, but really shouldn’t have been. The Eight involves, not alternate histories, but the story flipping back and forth between the past and present, much like The Kingdoms. There’s also a focus on French history, but at a different time point.
