Books That Remind Me of Other Books: The Last Shadow Knight by Michael Webb

As a lifelong book lover, I’ve read so many books that many of the books I read now remind me of books I’ve read before. Today I’ll be talking about all the books The Last Shadow Knight by Michael Webb reminds me of.

From Amazon:

Description of The Last Shadow Knight by Michael Webb

The Name of the Wind by Patrick RothfussThe Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss. I’ll be honest, I haven’t finished The Name of the Wind. But I read enough to know Kvothe was a thief during his childhood, so my mind automatically thought of this one while reading The Last Shadow Knight because Veron was a child thief as well. Both experiences were heartbreaking for me, but, as far as I can tell, things swing up for both Veron and Kvothe.

Book Review: The Dragon's Banker by Scott WarrenThe Dragon’s Banker by Scott Warren. This is the book that dominated my thoughts while reading The Last Shadow Knight. Described as a slice of life kind of story, The Dragon’s Banker definitely is, and I loved how it was centered around banking and trade. The Last Shadow Knight is, in many ways, traditional fantasy, but also has such a strong focus on business and commerce that I couldn’t help but draw parallels. Bonus: they’re both incredibly fun reads!

The Frozen Crown by Greta KellyThe Frozen Crown by Greta Kelly. Well, I wasn’t a fan of The Frozen Crown for many reasons, but I kept thinking of this one because it also involves an invading bloodthirsty king. I think the one in The Frozen Crown is much more dangerous and villainous, but the one in The Last Shadow Knight is more complex and overall interesting.
