It’s Break Time

The past few weeks have been rough between raising two toddlers, packing, moving, and unpacking. Three weeks to pack up four people and all the junk that comes with them (cough, toys) simply isn’t enough time. At least, not when the older toddler is demanding playtime and the younger toddler screams to be held almost every waking second.

We’re finally settling in, finally starting to get back into a rhythm. But there are more headaches ahead. Namely, our oldest’s education. He’ll be in Kindergarten next year, which really shouldn’t be any cause for worry, concern, or headaches. But we now live in a sprawling city with an equally sprawling school district. Just because he’s zoned for one elementary school doesn’t mean we can’t try to get him into a better school through a lottery system. Which means I have to jump on doing those applications. Now.

And with the holidays coming up and literally just two garlands lying around, I think it’s time for a break. There is much we need to do in the coming months, much that I need to write down and organize, and many things for me to contemplate as I plan to go back to work by next fall.

So…I’ll be taking a few weeks off. I don’t quite know when I’ll be back, but I’m aiming for January 7th or 14th and The Husband has repeatedly assured me he’ll write posts for next year. I’ll definitely be back, but I won’t write a return date in stone. Next year will be a bit busy, so I may need to lay off blogging a bit, but I really do enjoy it, so I’ll be sneaking it in. I have ideas. I just need to find my lost minutes and hours. Heck, I’ll take seconds at this point.

Happy holidays, everyone!

Happy Holidays! I hope you can find some time to rest over the holidays/your time off too, you definitely deserve it. Part of my holiday plans include reading more than the first chapter of your nano project (November was overwhelming!). See you in the new year 🙂

Thank you so much! I’m so honored you’re interested in my writing and I hope you enjoy it. Happy holidays, and I look forward to more of your stories next year!

It’s so good to read your posts for they seem like conversations over coffee and among friends, simple yet intricate. It’s indeed a task to be with your munchkins and still be able to steal time for this blog. Take one thing at a time and try and drop in a hello whenever you can for we definitely miss your musings. All the best for the endeavors ahead and HAPPY HOLIDAYS 😀 .

Once your kids are going to the kindergarten everything will start to match. Our village has only one kindergarten and one school, so we’re lucky we got positions there.

I wish you the best holiday season in the world. Enjoy the moment, if possible. And please tell us about whenever you have time, no hurry. I will probably do as NOPOODLES above, if I miss your writing I will come back to your previous posts 🙂

A much belated thanks! I hope you and your family had a lovely holiday season. I’ll pretend I don’t envy your single Kindergarten and school, though we’re finally starting to get a handle on it. I’ll be back to blogging on the 7th, and can’t wait to read more of your stories (when you have the time and inspiration, of course).

Have a fun break, take it easy and try not to stress. I too will be back to my regular blogging schedule starting in January. It is hard to keep up along with life and all that comes with that. Have a great Christmas and again, try not to stress about the move and school. In the end it all works out just as long as everyone is happy and healthy.

Thanks, I’ve really enjoyed the break, as you can tell by how long it took me to reply. I’ve missed reading everyone and clearly have many crafty posts to catch up on, but the break was much needed and now I look forward to getting back into blogging. I hope you and your family had a beautiful holiday season.

To the big city of Los Angeles! Seriously, we’re technically in the, but still a half hour from downtown. Good luck with your move! The kids were good sports and adjusted right away, but the packing is no joke. I can’t tell you how many times I asked my husband if we could just throw everything away.
