    In what I would like to call Getting to Know You, I would like to try to get to know my wonderful and lovely readers.  I know summer is not quite on us, but, here in Southern California, it’s been feeling like it lately. Oh, sure, we had a brief rainy spell of a grand two days. But now it’s in the 80s and even reached the 90s over the weekend.   • Motherhood: That toothless smile

    Well, the rest of this month is a bit of a wash. My son decided to change his nap schedule on me, so now neither of us quite knows when he wants to sleep and for how long, which means I don’t get much done! Besides that, we’re doing a little traveling this month, and then we start some serious sleep training (with fingers crossed that this time – this time! – it’ll work).   • Motherhood: Thank you

    Dear…Everyone, Traveling on a plane with a baby, just you and the baby, isn’t easy. Traveling on five planes in three days should be impossible. But I did it (no choice), and somehow survived. And I owe thanks to so many people, from the airline personnel to my fellow travelers. Without their help, we never would have made it out of one of the five airports we were in. The worst possible scenario I can imagine that can occur when traveling with a four-month-old is dealing with a cancelled flight. I had no reason to think that would occur. My mom took the same flight path when he was born.…
