• The Weekly Question #16

Is there a post you’re particularly fond of that you’d like to share? I’m always interested in what other people think and write. I spend a lot of my limited free time looking for new blogs to read and follow, but there are just too many. So, if you’d like, please share something you’re proud of, something you loved writing, something you want more people to read. And maybe find new blogs to follow.

  • The Weekly Question #15

Share your favorite blog. We all have blogs that we can’t get enough of, the blogs that we have to read as soon as there’s a new post. Since I’m always looking for new blogs to enjoy and follow, I want to know: which blog or blogs do you love?

  • The Weekly Question #14

Do you prefer analog or digital clocks? In the age of technology, you can’t turn somewhere without seeing a digital clock. It makes reading the time oh so easy. After all, it’s just a set of 3-4 numbers. I’m both spatial and non-spatial. I can’t tell distances, but looking at spaces gives me a lot of information. Like on a clock face. A quick glance tells me the time, how much time has passed since the hour struck, and how much more time needs to pass before the next hour strikes. Very spatial. Using a digital clock, though, makes me use addition and subtraction (ew, math), and I always picture…

  • The Weekly Question #13

Why do you read? Yes, I’m back to reading. Can’t help myself. There are so many reasons why people read from escape to keeping up with what’s popular. But I’m not asking why you read a particular book, why you choose to pick up a book, or even what happened in your life to turn you into a reader. No, I want to ask just why you read. There are so many things out there to hold your attention, from social media to video games to planning out next year’s vacation. So, why do you read? Why do you make time to read anything, whether a book or newspaper, or…

  • The Weekly Question #12

What is your favorite first day of school tradition? I know. I just asked about reading on the beach last week and now I’m jumping to school. In my defense, my son starts Kindergarten in a few weeks, and I am freaking out. My mom never had first day of school traditions for us, except to put my and my sister’s uniform jumpers on backwards on our very first days of wearing them. But now with social media I get to see what other parents do, and I’d really love to do something cute for my kids. I have vague ideas of what I want to do, and I definitely…

  • The Weekly Question #11

Do you like reading at the beach? Summer will sadly be coming to a close soon. But there’s still time to lounge in the sand and enjoy evading waves. I mean swimming and whatever water sports there are (I am the furthest thing from sporty). Especially here in Southern California. When it comes to reading, summer is all about beach reads. Honestly, any book that tickles my brain is considered a beach/summer read. But summer and pictures of people with floppy hats, big sunglasses, and books featuring whatever is considered a beach read are popular. Usually, they’re at the beach. In my 32 years, I think I’ve only read at…

  • The Weekly Question #8

What is your favorite breakfast? I need breakfast like most people need coffee. I refuse to give it up. After all, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. I simply refuse to function if I don’t have breakfast. It’s been as simple as some crackers while on my way to high school at 6:15 am to the Christmas breakfast my mom used to make of scrambled eggs, ham, sausage, breakfast potatoes, pancakes, and cinnamon rolls. But my favorite is something my mom would make for my dad. A ham and egg sandwich. Black forest ham and a fried egg between two toasted pieces of bread. My husband is…

  • The Weekly Question #5

If you were to build your own home, what shape would it be? When we were kids, my friends and I would talk about what kind of house we would build and how we would furnish it. Eventually, it became a discussion about how we would arrange the furniture in a round house. Considering furniture, at least the furniture back when we were kids, were mostly made to fit against a wall, we found the thought of putting a couch up against a curved wall funny. Then we talked about whether curved furniture would actually be practical. I don’t think we ever decided. Yeah, we had interesting conversations and ideas…
